Presentation
Founded in Pordenone in 1911 as a small workshop to manufacture
textile components for the local market, Savio Macchine Tessili
is, today, a leader in the yarn finishing machine sector
ranging from wool, cotton, linen and silk to synthetic fibres.
In October 1998 Savio Macchine Tessili S.p.A. was acquired by the
Radici Group, who was already present on the textile machinery
market with the leader companies Somet and Vamatex.
In 2001 Savio became part of the Itema
Group.
ISO 9001/Vision 2000 certified, Savio
Macchine Tessili today does business at world level in manufacturing
and marketing:
- automatic winders,
- two-for-one twisters,
- electronic assembly winders,
- winders for continuous bulking and shrinkage,
- open-end rotor spinning frames.
The heart of business is the ultra modern Pordenone facility that
houses a structure of 69,114 square meters on a area measuring 171,159
square meters. It has more than 500 employees plus approximately
800 external collaborators.
Savio also operates a technical assistance and spare parts network
throughout the world to ensure quick and efficient service to
customers.
